April 2025,
When I started House of Berry, I wanted to create more than just another matcha brand.
I wanted to build an experience that made people stop, smile, and discover just how special matcha could be. What began as Auckland's first matcha pop-up introduced thousands of Kiwis to their first cup of matcha and grew into a community that continues to inspire everything we do.
Today, we're bringing that same experience into homes across New Zealand through our signature ceremonial-grade matcha, matcha kits, tools, and workshops, so every cup feels just as special as the first.

Our customers at markets kept asking the same question:
"Can I enjoy this at home, how can I make this?"
So we travelled to Japan to find a supplier who shared our values.
Today, we proudly source our ceremonial-grade matcha directly from a fifth-generation tea producer, bringing the same vibrant flavour and quality from our pop-up to your daily ritual at home.

Our signature blend of Saemidori and Yutakamidori cultivars creates the vibrant colour, smooth finish, and naturally sweet flavour that makes House of Berry special.
